Welcome to The Davy. If living in the heart of Charlotte's NoDa Art District is for you, The Davy is the answer.
The Davy is one short block off North Davidson St. from the neighborhood's popular spots such as Cabo Fish Taco, Crepe Cellar, Smelly Cat, Neighborhood Theatre, and the YMCA.
The Davy has a total of 19 urban chic apartments created out of the renovation of the 1920's circa North Charlotte Hotel, which is chronicled in the book The Spirit of A Proud People written by Lois Moore Yandle. The historical building was completed gutted and reconstructed into 8 new apartments, and a new apartment building which houses the remaining 11 apartments was built from the ground-up on the adjacent property.
The Davy has all new energy efficient appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave, a dual flush water closet to conserve water, sleek cabinets and stainless steel stinks. All units have access to WiFi.
The Davy is within the designated art district of NoDa. The neighborhood is eclectic, with aspiring and seasonal artists, young professionals, musicians, families and many diverse cultural backgrounds. The area has an active and effective NoDa Neighborhood Association. You can visit the community website at www.noda.org. Check out the arts, cuisine, music, plays, theater, and other ways to get involved.
